Welcome to Library!

My name is Jessica Gray and I am the Media Specialist at Tenth Street Elementary.  I look forward to getting to know each and every one of my students, and you as well!

I am a graduate of Anderson University, where I majored in Elementary and Special Education.  Before moving to Indiana, I grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan.  After this year, I will have been at Tenth Street Elementary for six and a half years.  In my spare time, I enjoy playing flute and piano, reading, drawing, playing video games, and cuddling with my Shih Tzu, Beamer.  I also love coding and robotics!  In past years, I have facilitated two after-school clubs: Girls Who Code and a co-ed STEM Club.

I believe that communication is the key to your child’s success and to a great parent/teacher relationship.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at school or through email.
📚 Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are. 📚

If your child does not have access to their teacher's class, please get in contact with them either through phone or email.

If your child's teacher for some reason does not have a class set up, you may sign in through Mrs. Gray's Library Class.  You may create a new profile, or select the "Library" profile.

Virtual Expectations.png

  • Students must complete their weekly library lesson and activity during that current week by the due date.  I have made all activities due Sunday night to give some extra time in case of technological issues or unexpected events throughout the week.  Classroom teachers may give students a specific time to complete Specials.  If not, it is the student's and parent's responsibility to make sure Specials get completed.

  • Most lessons and activities are through Canvas and Seesaw (K-2).  Canvas needs to be the first place a student looks for a virtual lesson or activity.  If there is something new happening that week, it will be explained on the weekly lesson page with specific instructions.

  • Students do receive credit/grade for Specials.  It is important that students are completing Library and other Specials' assignments each week!

Student Expectations:

1.  Watch the WHOLE video and read ALL directions.

2.  Double-check to make sure you are turning your assignment in to the correct place.

3.  Please contact me, Mrs. Gray, if there are any technological issues or questions about the lesson.
