Hello! I am Amanda Jackson, and I teach 2nd grade students who have mild disabilities. I have been a teacher for Anderson Community Schools for 9 years (2003-2007 and 2012-Present). Throughout those years, I have taught grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. I love teaching elementary school and seeing the students grow from year to year.
I am married to my husband, Jason, who is a firefighter. We have two children together. Our son, Gage, is 4 years old, and our daughter, Peyton, is 1 year old. We like to take the kids to the zoo, to play at the playground, swimming, and to visit Grandma and Grandpa and Mamaw and Papaw. When we have free time to ourselves, my husband and I like to go out to dinner, play games at Dave and Buster's, go bowling, walk on trails, go on scenic drives, and vacation in the mountains or at the beach. Our new adventure that we are going to try out soon is scuba diving! Jason already has his certification, and I will be working on obtaining mine this summer! A couple of things that I like to do by myself, but I am not extremely good at, include: quilting, cooking, and crafting (mostly Halloween costumes or birthday outfits for the kids).
Thanks for visiting my page! Enjoy!
