Expectations for Parent Drop-Off and Pick-Up

okay parents when you come to drop off or pick up your kids are going to pull into the left driveway or the West driveway between the two pine trees The Intern at the entrance is closest to Scatterfield she come in you'll see cones and teachers waving you while the cones won't waive its teachers will and you pull up into the lane Lane's there will be five Lanes with cones Mark in once you see that teacher that teacher will stop you and then get you into the line that makes the curve around to drop off or pick up once the teacher releases used for the drop off in the morning you will pull up around the semicircle and you will go to the farthest known that is available for you to pull up to an inch numbered one through eight nearest Coney but spot one is down at the end and once we pull up there you need to know that if your child is going to get out on the passenger side like little boy she is about to do you are going to make sure that they go around the front of your vehicle so little Bobby has his backpack and he's getting out of the car and he's going to go with to where the teachers are and you wave bye to your child parents remember do not get out of your car stay in your car once your child is safely away from the car away slowly remember you shouldn't be on your cell phone and you should be driving about 5 miles an hour do not have anybody to get out of line we know everybody is in a hurry to get to work but you have to patient thank you so when you come to pick up your child in the afternoon I process is going to be pretty similar you're going to pull up to a faculty member and being Elaine biotone and in once you get there you will wait your turn to get into the line to go to the cones as you can see we are in the no Idle Zone so the car was shut off and now is restarted because the fact remember has approached the car in bold and grade so that when you come there I need to pick them up but can read it and put it right here when they do that little Bobby Paddington please little Bobby Paddington Cohn one little kindergarten so I will let you go around a big curve and then stop at cone 1 and little Bobby will be waiting for you okay thank you please don't let over the cone or the teacher great day to be an eagle as you go around the semicircle to pick up your child they're going to stay in a single-file line until you get to the tone that you were told and in this case we're looking for someone and we're looking for little Bobby Paddington little Bobby Pennington at cone one and he's excited to tell you all about his day of learning the Nail Bar he's going to go around the front of his own car and he's going to get in and buckled and we are going to pull away slowly and safely and remember same process you do not pass cars to get out of the parking lot at first because this is kind of like kindergarten every takes their turn thank you and we hope this video helps you a little bit on your first day at 10th Street Elementary is not out at the Cove Inn not ready to go the faculty members going to instruct you to pull over to the fire lane and in doing so you're going to stay parallel to the curb fire lane all the way little Bobby is using the facilities and you can see that the parent pull up into the fire lane and now Bobby is coming and you can tell Bob he's excited but he's going to walk on the sidewalk until he gets to his mommy's car so once again if your child's not out and ready they will be instructed to pull up to the fire lane to in a few. Then it'll make it easier for you to pull out into traffic you can see that mommy has signal and she's driving slowly and pulling away with little Bobby for the rest of their day

General Car Line Expectations

Follow security directions.
One lane only. NO passing until the yield sign.
All parents should remain in their car.
Students always walk in FRONT of their own vehicle if they need to exit or enter on the passenger side.
Please refrain from using your cell phone during the drop-off/pickup process.
Speed limit is 5 MPH on school property.
Please be patient with staff volunteers as they are trying to be efficient and safe.
Please have your placard with your child's name and grade clearly written in bold and placed on the driver's side windshield.
NO SMOKING on school property!

Drop-Off

Please don't park and walk your child to the sidewalk or send your child across the parking lot to the sidewalk from the parking lot. ALL students must be dropped off at a numbered cone.
Drop off will begin at 8:50 A.M.
Students need to be prepared to get out of the car when they approach the drop off area.
Students and staff must be in the building by 9:00 A.M. If you are dropping off after 9:00 A.M., you will need to sign your child in at the front office.

Pickup

Please be in the parking lot by 3:30 P.M. Parent pick up does not have a set ending time. When the last car in line goes through, any remaining students are sent to the front office to be signed out by their parents or guardians.
Pull up all the way to the cone number given by the staff member. Your child will meet you at that cone.
Sometimes a student might be delayed. To keep the line moving efficiently, you may be asked to pull up into the FIRE LANE. Please park parallel to the curb and a staff member will assist you.
The only people permitted to walk up to the doors to pick up a child are walkers who live nearby.
